Gibson ES-347 Tobacco Sunburst Electric Guitar

Item # 0001128

All original, one owner. Ebony fretboard, gold hardware. Made in Gibson's Nashville plant July 89.

The ES-347 is a souped-up version of an ES-335; hotter pick-ups, more body and neck binding, block inlays on the neck (instead of dots), a bigger ‘chunk’ of wood in the middle of the body for better sustain.

Aged beautifully. Bone bindings have taken on mellow yellow tones. Some wear on the gold hardware, a couple of belt-buckle marks on the back. Original case.

Low easy action, true neck. The bridge humbucker in the ES347 has a single-coil split switch. Versatile, plus added brightness from the ebony fretboard. Over-all more tonal choices than the ES335. Each guitar from the Nashville plant was built by hand and took four to six weeks to complete, the 347s were made from 1969 to 1989.
